Comparison of Cerebrospinal Fluid Leakage in Endoscopic Endonasal Transsphenoidal Surgery for Pituitary Adenoma with and without Sellar Floor Reconstruction

Objectives: This study aimed to compare CSF leak in endoscopic endonasal TSS of pituitary adenoma with and without reconstruction the sellar floor no intraoperative leakage. Materials Methods: It was a randomized controlled trial 116 patients both genders diagnosed case who underwent over 1 year. The cases were into 2 groups. In Group A floor, done while B only transsphenoidal surgery reconstruction. Results: patient’s mean age group 40.7 ± 9.56 years, group, 41.9 10.5 years. gender distribution, for A, males females 29 each (50%) B, 36 (62%) 22 (38%). There 52 (89.7%) macroadenoma 6 (10.3%) microadenoma group. On 1st postoperative day, leakage noted (3.4%) observed B. Results revealed difference between minor nasal complications Conclusion: is an equal chance success (TSS) concerning post-operative leak, have which enlarges pool options treatment.
